Paul Kaps "Crusher" for Signals Officer

Wanted to show my first acquisition for 2020. The cap is an early one by Paul Kaps with a leather brim and nicely patinaed bullion wreath and cord. It was sold to me as cavalry, but in hand I believe the piping is lemon-yellow (signals/nachrichten). I own a Kaps recon/cavalry visor, and the piping color is much different.

The pasteboard is quite flexible and the cap can be folded, but certainly not what one would call a true "feldmutze alter art".

Hope you like it / comments welcome

Very nice . The pasteboard is quite flexible,it is now that you crushed it.

Basel--Are you sure it is not Kav? It seems to me that Kaps used a lighter shade of yellow for Kav than normally seen (which appears lighter with a flash).
Can you get some pics outside when it is overcast?

Good point. I'm not 100% sure, but it is certainly a different color than my other Kaps "kav" visor. The other cap is of later manufacture, has a much taller peak and thicker piping. It's possible of course that there was variation in piping shades.

Here's a comparison shot in direct sunlight (through a window, it's freezing outside ).
