Original but the colour seems to be silver and not gold ?
A picture of the back would be useful as well .

          Agree+1
Look ok. A view of the reverse would help. Think it might just be the photo that makes the eagle appear silver not gold ?

Thanks so far, it’s indeed the picture that makes it look silver.
I make pictures of the back later today 👍🏻

Thanks for the added photo. Eagle is a nice original. Let's see the KM tropenhelm attached to it ? Do not remove the eagle to see the reverse, it's A ok.

I agree don't remove the shields if anything show pictures of the inside of the helmet shield pins included
Give a man an opinion and you feed him for a day,
teach a man to use the "search" function on the WAF and you feed him for a lifetime.

Agree, good chance that a prong will be broken in any attempt to remove & then attach a shield.

Helmet is missing it's chinstrap ? Have owned one from this maker many years ago. This helmet has been messed with post war.
The KM shields have been added post war. Judging from the holes and prongs this helmet had Herr shields before the KM were attached.
How recently is anybody's guess ?
