    Hello,
I would like to get some opinions on this belt and buckle.
    It's marked 155/40 .

There is a number in paint next to the maker mark and the same number on the belt.

                Thank you,

Here is a little better shot of the maker mark, kind of worn down.

Trying to sell this rare buckle with a belt, I'm not the buckle collector myself so I asked for what it worth, but it seems that there is no interest at all. Am I asking to much? What is a fair bottom $$ for this set?

Opinions of a purchaser could differ but I doubt any collector having an aluminum 155/40 in nice condition (minimum condition of your) will sell it for less than $2000 USD. The belt with it is not RZM/SS obviously marked but has the great advantage to be the belt with this buckle since WW2. Not many set could grant this origin.... So my opinion is that $2000 USD is a very honest price someone wishing a fair deal should offer you.

If I collected belts/buckles, I would be all over this one for your current asking price($1850). This is one of the best I've seen, really great eye appeal! Good luck with the sale.

Good luck with your sale. You just need one SS buckle collector who has to have it. I didn’t know the was so hard to find until JP’s ultimate SS buckle list. I may have missed out on a few of these just thinking it is just another aluminum SS. JP’s list will be helpful in the future.

The $2000 USD value (buckle only) remains the same since over 5 years. None than I know traded hands for less than that with people knowing what they had.
