Mint alu army buckle OLC with Osang tab 1940 - opinions needed

Hello guys,

I just got this buckle together with some other equipment from my contracter who's father in law died 10 years ago.

The buckle must have been one of the best aluminum examples I have ever seen, unfortunalty I don't think the tab matches the buckle, or does it?

I know sometimes factories worked together, so maybe there is a small chance this combination is legit?

If not, should I remove the tab and sell them seperatly?

I think there’s any chance that the leather tab was factory applied but I wouldn't touch this nice buckle

And attached the wrong way round.

I think it could be a 'transitional' piece finished by the Osang factory in 1940, with metal sleeve and prongs. It realy looks untouched and not tempored with + this came out of a realy old collection.

The domed end of the roller bar is usually on the top of the buckle. I think the tab, bar and prongs were added after it left the factory. The buckle would probably have a lot less paint to match up with the wear on the tab.

as for me i suppose that buckle may be was unfinished from day of manufacture. and smbd added prongs and pin from what he had avaliable at that moment.

I don't like the thread in the stitching either as the color and age look off to me....I too have doubts about the tab being factory applied.....Bodes
