SS O&C buckle and NPEA studentenbund aluminium buckle

Hi,

I would like to hear your opinion on these (and most of all on the NPEA buckle )

The SS O&C is good IMO. I'm quite sure of that BUT... the big question is the NPEA... The maker is correct and the rest seems to be right as wel... It's not the common aluminium fake that we see all the time... But IMO the color doesn't seem to be what one should expect from an aluminium buckle... I've bought these on an online auction yesterday so I haven't held them in my hands yet... Can the dull grey color be from taking the pictures inside the house?? Pics are taken without and with flash...

I'm just a student about these and I want to learn, but I've seen an example of this buckle on this forum with this kind of mark, where the " / " sign was more horizontal. That's the only thing I noticed sofar and maybee it doesn't have to mean anything or the other buckle isn't good. I hope a more expierienced collector can help you and teach us both.

I think the NPEA buckle is ok.
I don't see any red flags right away.

My NPEA buckle is linke the 2nd model (big M4/38) but besides that it looks like yours, no differences that i can see.

Anyway, Chad and Marc can give you a defintive answer i think
