    SA first buckle

    Hi,

I read different information regarding 1st SA buckle. I d like to have your opinion. What is the correct apparition of buckles:
    - rotated/mobile swastika is the oldest
    - then angled/inclined swastika
    - then horizontal swastika

    Is this correct?

Sorry for my poor English, I hope you ll understand what I mean

    Thanks

    Hello,

    1st 2nd and 3rd version is a myth .........

In the sales catalog of Assmann from 1933 there were all three variants at the same time.

Sun wheel swastika , rotated swastika and upright swastika.............

      Hi,

      Thanks for answer.

SA was created in 1921 and uniform exist at this time. So to have the 3 buckles in 1933 catalogue does t mean buckle were created at the same sime before 1933. Could be a synthesis of existing buckles.

What s your opinion about this?

Thanks and have a nice WE

I would think that as it's a catalog, if it's pictured then it's available. It's not a history book.

It is mostly speculation about the three patterns of swastikas. We know all three patterns were sold at the same time and you will find all three unmarked, with UE codes or RZM codes. Not sure when the two straight wing styles or the steel flat back were in production. The SA must off had some uniform regulation during the twenties.
