Could we see a picture of the frontside, crisp as the backside?
I have my doubts on this one.

The box might be a reused Imperial. The roundel is tall so it might be mounded over a different roundel. I have my doubts. So far I have only found some poor quality fakes with this design. They may be based on an original design.IMG_1150.jpg

I do not like it, if you ask me.
The roundel looks rather casted than die stamped and its diameter seems a little bit too small. There is a lighter annulus to see on the brass box next to the roundel wich makes me also wonder.
Most Wehrwolf buckles are not based on an imperial style box...
