I really like the Zoll Officer's buckle - perfect. However, don't think the keeper belongs with this buckle.

Here is the FLL catalogue page with the buckle shown....

One off my favorite designs. Angolia say these were only used on a Brocade belt. Here is an example showing proper attachment of the keeper. Your buckle my have not been finished. The markings show no wear.IMG_0732.jpgIMG_0735.jpgIMG_0733.jpg

In my opinion all „39“ custom official buckles are reproductions, sorry.

Here is a photo from a thread about the new generation of fakes about 6-7 years ago. I thought these were unmarked. IMG_0725.jpg

            Kirby -

Your photo of the new fake from 6-7 yrs ago looks like the one posted by firefighter.

            Wickie -

I was totally unaware the '39 Customs Officer buckle was being reproduced. Buyer beware I guess cause that's a good looking fake.

I should have found the old thread and credited the photo. I saw a fake Customs at the SOS 3-4 years ago. It was unmarked and very good quality. The dealer was selling it as a fake.

Good possible that they now produce them unmarked as well.
At the beginning, the fakes were all marked with the year „39“.

The prongs of the fakes were remarkable as well. I assume thatˋs the reason why somebody removed the keeper from the buckle.

I think all the real one didn’t have the keeper with the prongs attached to the buckles. If they were only to be worn on the Brocade they would have had the basic keeper.
