LUFT Tropical Buckle - COLOR?

Hi All,
I'm a long-time member of the Equipment Forum, but new to the Belts & Buckles forum. I recently acquired this Luft. Buckle in a "tropical" color. It's a darker color than others I've seen - more Khaki / Brown (Khakibraun) than tan.

I see no evidence of blue paint underneath, and the paint is very tough - it can't be scratched off, so it doesn't appear to have been painted with typical (modern) spray paint - more like real lacquer.

No maker's mark. What do you guys think?

Very nice buckle - I have a Luft with same type of paint although different maker.

Dan, the N&H buckles are indeed a different color than the one Mike posted.

Thank you Willi and Dan (for the nice pics). I would say mine is very close in color to the N&H buckle, just a slight bit more "brown-ish".

Would you say.....produced about 1943?
