Help with questionable SS EM/NCO buckle and belt

Got some warning signs from my expert buddy on this one....

    1. SS runes do not look well done on buckle
    2. Belt has Army? "bmd 42" marking on one end
    3. Added ?? "RZM 60/41 SS" on other end

Got this from a collector with a lot of good items but, your thoughts?

    Thanks, Jim

The belt has been post war "SS upgraded" but I am sure everyone was able to tell.

The buckle is original and was made by Overhoff in 1942. This is a scarcer Type 2.
Looks like all the silver paint is gone, leaving a buckle is very good shape. If this is true, we see here the primer which was under the silver coat. For this to happen to the obverse and reverse paint, one of the previous owner tried to clean the buckle with some kind of car wax. The effect is immediate: when the wax is gone, the paint is with it ...
