JMO Polizei buckle for review - Assistance appreciated!

    Hey folks,

I got this buckle in a trade with some other Polizei items and was informed that it is a widely faked buckle. I am not a buckle collector and would greatly appreciate some guidance on this piece. If folks don't want to publicly offer correct dimensions to check (to check if it is a cast fake), a PM would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for looking and comments/wisdom most appreciated!

After receiving the appropriate measurement, I measured it and it is indeed, undersized.

Oh well, into the junk box it goes.

1 question: does the logo maker is always under the bar as I saw example with logo at the opposite place?

Are you referring to just Julies Maurer or buckle manufacturers in general. If you are referring to buckle manufacturers in general then the answer is the MM is stamped in various positions on the reverse. Maurer typically put his mak under the pin shroud.
