    Deutsche Volksgruppe Ungarn buckle?

    Hi guys,
I would like to ask your opinion about that buckle.
Uploading the photo of the original buckle wasn't approved by owner, so I drew it.
Is where anybody with references about this buckle?
    Hungarian land artifact.
    Many thanks,

Interesting. First one for me. Don't think it's in any literature?

As owner of the buckle I can confirm, that from my experience after 30 years of collecting belt buckles it is an original piece.
Here together with an other buckle from Deutsche Volksgruppe in Hungary.

First time I have ever seen these. If I came across one my first thought would be Fantasy. There was a Hitler Youth Buckle with the sun wheel swastika in the diamond, it was discussed here a long time ago. I seem to remember Weitze had it listed. There is some strange stuff out there.

                Hello Kirby,
that Weitze-buckle in fact is a original German Hitleryouth-buckle with eraised swastika. Someone then replaced it with a sunwheel. No problem with a thick zinc buckle.

This thread made me think of that buckle. I couldn’t remember if it judged to be real. Thanks

                    Thank you, Thomas.

They appear very well made, anyone able to post a period photo showing them in wear ?

Any chance to see if catch/hanger system is the same on both the pattern ?

Are they made by zink ?

                    Regards

                    Ric
