SS Buckles to collect: The ultimate list

Years that I did not publish any updates in this particular field of collecting. Years collectors (and leeches) were asking for it. So today you finally got it.

This list is the result of over 20 years of investigations, time and money consuming.
Nobody has any idea about how many hundreds of hours it took me to reach then closely verify the accuracy of this list.

In this list you will find several "Named by JP Redeuilh". Why? Because it is true. Like Type 1 or Type whatever, I indeed also created those Types many years ago. Some collectors are kind to remember this but most don't.

So, I will kindly ask ANYBODY using this list or content, for future reference, comment, publication or duplication to be honest and preserve its origin and so my work. The choice to refer is your but please do it. It is just respect and will not cost you anything.

I will update by segments, then I will add pictures and availability. So the full thread will take several days / weeks

As said this thread is going to be fully completed. But I am not going to do it overnight. I will complete this list first ( there is more than 6 other parts to come), then I will update everything with possible color variants / finishes a collector could find, then availability for each buckle. Finally I will post picures for EACH buckle.

Last step - a book? We can‘t have it all.
So, thank you very much. This Thread will be THE one!

No book and no more collecting. No more fakes/fakers tracking either and no more participations in this subject.
What I did during those last 20 years brought a new way to collect and look at SS buckles. Nobody can contest that. When I started my first Forum 99% of collectors interested by SS buckles were feeling complete their collection with one nickel silver, one aluminum and one steel SS buckle. Wow, what's a change! I still remember all the time and efforts it took to push people to show what they had hidden in drawers... How happy I was to discover with you, readers, a new SS buckle or a new marking getting out of the woodwork...Even more happier to be helped by few close friends in my conclusions, friends who will remain silent for the most part since this was always their choice.
But now it is over for me. I am currently selling all my collection to finalize my last cross Ocean move. I am expecting my return to Europe for my retirement, leaving my North American experience behind me along with collecting. Once again I should change country, Italy that time.
When this thread will be over, hopefully in few weeks.
