    SS 822/37 Buckle

    Hello Gents,

It's been awhile since I last posted any buckles so it is with great pleasure to show you my newest addition.

This is a near mint SS 822/37 buckle from the firm Richard Sieper & Sohne. One can easily see the proper finish applied to these buckles with the obverse and reverse showing 95% of the finish still intact. This buckle comes with a perfect but small waist belt made from the top line leather Kernstuck and sporting RZM L4 Rbn#.

    Hope you enjoy the photos.

    Thanks JT!

Excellent addition to your collection. My first aluminum SS was a 822/37. I picked up a matching belt catch at Manion’s about 15 years ago. They sold 3-4 over a couple of auctions. Not 100% sure it’sDSC00038.jpg original but it didn’t cost much.

Beautiful Type 1 (without rope behind eagle's head) since there was two Types
                - Type 1 (without rope behind eagle's head)
                - Type 2 (with rope behind eagle's head)

Merci JP for your kind words as well as clarification of the buckle being a Type-1 - most certainly important information for all SS buckle collectors.
