    Greiz 1934 buckle

    Hi Guys,

I have only seen or heard of a couple of these referenced previously- what would the current thoughts on this buckle be please?

There was a tinnie issued for this event with the exact design of the roundel. This one has had some heavy polishing over the years.

    Many thanks for any help!

    Best regards,

    Patrick

    Hello Patrick,
sorry to say, but this is a known fantasy buckle. It would also make no sense at all to make a buckle for a party event that lasts only a few days.
So as to value: I would guess 20 USD as a curiosity.
    Best regards, Thomas

Was made out of a badge. Three of them were sold at eMedals. Surprised at the range of prices. If it was glued on it might come off with some acetone. I would be nice if the pin was still there.

Yes, of course a fantasy buckle, so the nearly perfect solder spots are obviously from the former roundel?

Maybe even the roundel is fake. Some aspects could give that impression!

It is a nice looking item, but it looks like a tinnie that was put on a buckle. I do not know how you could prove that something like this existed Patrick. If you saw a period photo of one in wear or one in a catalog or some other proof that would be great but until then I would have to lean towards bad.
