SS officer nickel buckle RZM O&C ges.gesch

    Hi,
After more than twenty years in my collection I've started to think about selling this buckle.
I'm sure that it is authentic, but I need "official" confirmation by the experts.
    Many thanks for any help!

I do not see any problems with this piece and I like the additional RZM stamp.

I'm assuming it's a ground dug buckle based on all the pitting to it, yet the tin prong keeper is in much better condition than the nickle silver buckle?
How does that work? Usually the prong keeper is the first thing to rust away. Maybe replaced at some point?

Prong keepers were also made from nickled brass by Overhoff, so even in this case.
Brass is quite resistant against corrosion. There was nothing replaced.

the keepers were of a different material often on the EM version of the early O and C and that is why they rust away but on the officer as indeed stated the keeper is nickel, also O and C had a specific look to the early keepers, early nickel officer buckles of the SS are fairly scarce to rare

that is the original o and c factory keeper

Agree……..by the pics the keeper appears original to this buckle and Overhoff made.
