Buckle is original and judging from oxidation, color and soil remnants, seems to be dug out. Leather tab was added. SS buckles didn't come with leather tabs.

I know that it is original and that normally it doesn' t have a leather tab, but she was put during the period WW2,sometime we can't find some but with additionnal leather tab

Buckle looks ground dug, therefore leather tab added after 45

Why the tab is post war stiching,the front part of the leather are black
this buckle have the same tab (same maker ) of the SS Buckle on the web site Germanwarbooty (see the archive belt buckle )

SS buckles did RARELY come with those tabs, but it is very rare

as you can see tab and buckle are different makers but this is correct, this was a vet bringback best regards, John
