      This is a bad buckle. Well made but the eagle "m" stamp was never put on the buckle body. A easy indicator of a fake.

            Yes, it is well made, but a fake nonetheless. Apart from the acceptance stamp on the buckle, the eagle is exactly of a type seen on a number of steel WH fakes, especially tropical ones. A while back, these fakes were offered at all the auctions in numbers. The most obvious feature to look out for is the shape of the head.

              I believe these are of East European origin...they came out in quanity starting a few years ago.

                The feet of the catch are the give away, and of course the ridiculous KM stamp in the buckle. never happens on a real one...
