Sorry for the late response.
From the photos provided I do not see any real RED flags on this set. I would need a hands on to be absolute before giving a thumbs up . To help you and if f possible, ensure you look at he keepers to ensure gold gilt shows on the inside of the brocade sewn end. The wear of the buckle is similar to wear of the brocade itself, which is good. MOst General brocades I have handled have silver threading intertwined in the brocade which yours does not.
I do understand Schlange's point of view however, I am unable to discern whether original or post-war paint from the photos. Again, hands on would most likely discern this.
Not many General Heer buckles have graced this forum over the last 15 years so there are not many who can chime with their opinion. Crazy perhaps, but some have been good ones and then there have been others which were clearly humped up.
