    S S - two piece construction

    An extremely interesting and declared as a two piece construction SS belt buckle, currently for sale on a Northern Ireland dealers site.

    Interesting SS buckle. Have always been leery of two piece SS buckles. However, what is interesting is the cast prong bar. Also the brass body and the two solder points. Totally out of character for SS buckles.I don't know where JP is but would like to hear his take on this.

      More convincing for time frame than the Assmann design (see previous thread on SS conversion buckle) but what I think is .
      David, I guess you should display the "Red Cross SS" buckle as well.

        I've seen hundreds of ss buckles, also some minor variants as one piece zinc and many finds from germany forests.....but this one is unknown in every source you can get about ss buckles. I don't think it's good.
