First one I have see with a red backing. Heer used red striped brocades for military band leaders.

I’ve never seen one with the red backing before. The Heer used red striped Brocade for military band Leaders. This might be band related.

Looks like 1st pattern police brocade but I am not familiar with any other backing colors for the 1st pattern. Interestingly, police band did wear red plumes with shakos, not sure if there is a connection here...
Interested in the Gendarmerie - Schutzpolizei - Gemeinden - Feuerschutzpolizei - Wasserschutzpolizei - Etc. Looking For Anything Polizei Related!

Thanks for your answers Dave and Klr.
Dave, as polizei collector, maybe can you find clues in your specific documention ??

A music theme collector think that the belt is maybe re-backing

Here are some additional photos. Can it help ?

                  thanks !

                    Hello,
based on the stitching I don't believe the red backing originally belongs to the brocaded material.
                    Regards, Thomas

                      German imperial parade belt?
A stitched white fabric with a red inscription looks like a navy?

A bit late to the party. This first style police Feldbinde brocade was issued only on police green backing for use by officers. But the style was replaced by the SS-Police Feldbinde before the war started. Those band conductors who were officers wore regulation belts.

Angolia pictured a so-called Prussian officer Feldbinde in his book on buckles, but it was a WWI navy Feldbinde to which someone had added a Landjagerei buckle (gold finish). The brocade material of the early style police Feldbinde was available in the 70s and early 89s and fakes were produced, looking almost brand new with bright green backing material. This red back one is someone's creation.
