    Police Officer belt with rivets

    Hi guys,
I'm interested in this Police Officer belt/buckle combo, and was wondering what your thoughts are in regards to the rivetted end on it?
Buckle is good, and the belt seems period but I don't recall seeing rivets in any officer belts other than Forestry.
My thoughts are that being Police and as such a civil organisation, it could be original as there wasn't the need to conform to military or RZM standards.

Any help on this one would be appreciated.

Rivets were a faster way to shorten a belt than moving the adjustment strap. I have owned several EM buckles with rivets but never an Officers. Did they paint the rivets on the front side?
Forestry didn’t use rivets they used snaps to easily move the buckle to the different belts they used.

      Hi klr,
Unfortunately I don't know if the front of the rivets are painted, and the seller isn't answering emails so I can't answer that question for you.
I've searched the web and found examples of EM's belts with rivets, but like you never seen it on an officer belt.
I don't mind that it's rivetted, as I think the keepers would cover the rivets from the front, but I just found it unusual for an officer belt.

The bonus would be if they were snaps and not rivets, then like the forestry belt/buckles the buckle could be removed if the belt was needed for another buckle that didn't have the prongs on it.

I'll try again to contact the seller.

Most Police Officers buckles have the prong bar attached to the buckle but some are like this one. I would ask the seller for better photos. The slider could cover the rivets but that isn’t it’s normal position.
