oh its real! sold on ebay for $500 , seller has another stamped brass for $1000 he thinks its Luftwaffe pilots! Thanks Kenny Rob

Nickel or guided nickel. It shouldn’t be brass. Gilded are harder to find than silver.

Only Assmann made them. There is also a pebbled finish buckle but I only know of one example.
