    SA buckle opinions please

    Hi Guys

    Please would you be so kind as to give me your thoughts on the originality of this one- I wasn't able to find a match having a search through the forum.

          I do not like it. This roundel design have been faked for a long time and the prongs, prong sleeve and solder holes looks very weird to me.

          Not for my collection.

                      Take a look in a period Assmann catalogue.

                      And why do you think you will find sunwheel SA buckles with RZM markings?
                      For your understanding, the Reichszeugsmeisterei came 1934 into power. The RZM stated in the same year that SA men have to wear a 2 claw belt buckle. So this is the official end of the box buckle.

                        Agree--the only SA box buckle that was available after 1934 was the wartime Wehrmannschaft.

                          You will find sunwheel SA buckles with RZM markings. I have seen
                          RZM 36 and RZM 63.
