I think the Bahnschutz is fake. Why would an aluminum buckle have a 43 date? They stopped using aluminum for buckles early in the war.

This is what a guy told me as well. But I was talking to a buckle collector in England who likes it do to good consistent markings and the aluminum in which it's made of. He told me he has a police buckle from 1943 made of aluminum in his collection. I spoke to a local collector here in Oklahoma and we both believe that aluminum conservation buckles mainly only pertain to military buckles. Another good point was that they continued making political leaders buckles out of aluminum until the end of the third Reich.
