SS Buckle

This is another buckle I have been looking at. It is marked 155/40 or maybe 43 according to the seller. What do you guys think?

If it is a 155/40, everything is alright. Go ahead and buy it if not too expensive.
If it is 155/43, do not do it until you can see a very clear photo of the marking and submit it there.

...but those blurry photos tend at least to show more a genuine buckle than a fake. Clear photo of the marking will say better since I do prefer myself to be worry than sorry !!

Thanks for the input. I have talked to the seller and he has agreed to an inspection period on this buckle. I will post better pictures as soon as I get it in hand.

I now have the buckle in hand and here are the better photos. After studying the pictures on Jean Pierre's site I think the buckle is good. Let me know what you all think.

Good job ! Confirmed, your 155/43 is original. As I said, based on bad photos the buckle was already looking good but now there is no more doubt, it is a good one.
Tomorrow I will post some of the fake one so you will be able to compare.

Since you have above photos of an original 155/43, you can compare with the fake 155/43 I am going to upload. Photos were taken by a German collector who asked my opinion on it. He noted that the paint was quickly going off with acetone, so at least the paint was not original. He was very right since the buckle is not.
