I am sure that you own the required experience to judge the guilding on this buckle. From the shown images it looks also good. So I have no doubt that the guilding is period.

But I have still an open question here:
For what purpose did they produce this gold two-piece parade buckle?
KM EM have to wore with their (blue) parade dress no belt.

I see some green shoulder strap in the grouping. Did the Costal Artillery ever wear gold buckles with their green uniforms?
