          Nothing to add about buckle originality. About paint job hard to tell if period by those pics alone, few features lead to suspect it postwar repainted.

              A good buckle, however, I fully agree with Ric on the paint being suspect. Why is there heavy rust on inside of roller pin whilst the exterior pin shroud with prongs is pristine - post #3?
