Landespolizei buckle- variant??

Just picked up this unusual example and haven't been able to find a match described as original or fake.

The eagle design appears to match exactly that found on the known Assmann marked buckles but this one is a separate piece applied by 4 solder pints to a chromed box. The wear points to the eagle device show through red so it is either copper or cupal with silver plating

any comments much appreciated

Unfortunately a known fake. You will even find one at Weitze website under "reproductions".

A fake but it does look decent from the front. A friend is going to a have original gold one and a silver one at the SOS. He is going to start selling his duplicates.
