Thanks for the additional photos although I must confess upfront this one is somewhat of a head scratcher....

I agree with Gary that your buckle has had some sort of enhancement done to the obverse and catch of the buckle, and/or this is a better reproduction as the MM is to perfect. From the additional photos you sent, the reverse interior looks more muted than the catch and outer rim of the buckle. If this is the case, the rest of your buckle should also be muted as well. The plating or repaint also leaves the obverse intrinsic designs and lines of the eagle, wing feathers, the talons and the laurel leaves more globbed together and unattractive. Finally, the buckle itself is in meticulous and pristine condition which is contrary to the heavily worn brocade.

IMO, the buckle is possibly a newer reproduction with plating or a repaint performed on the buckle and catch which would tell me, and as Gary has stated, the brocade was added after.

Here is my brocade for comparison.

Thanks Dan, looking at yours , I think this just may we'll be an original buckle that got "blinged " up, maker mark and placement is identical to yours plus the detail on the interior of the eagle is perfect, it could be a VERY good copy But at this point it's anyone's guess

                        Fritz,

Most likely a standard Heer officer buckle that has received a gold plating job. As Dan has noted the wear between the buckle/keeper is inconsistent with the heavy wear on the brocade. One would expect some wear to highlights, edges and the areas of the buckle that clips into the keeper.
