    question for buckle DLV OFFICER

    Hello everybody,
I would like your comments about this Buckle Officer DLV.
Is it a 3 or 4 type and is it not common?
    Thank you for your help
    all the best
    Teddy

It is a 4th pattern according to Angolia's book. It is a very rare buckle. A friend bought the one from Angolia's collection on a Brocade belt. It has the same Aurich marked buckle but I can't see how your insignia is attached. You can find it in the archives of eMedals.

Wow that is a rare one. That is very nice and in great condition. I love the EM's version of this and didn't even know an officer version existed.

RLB is the correct id of this buckle. It is a 4th pattern RLB Leader's buckle and Aurich was given license to manufacture. The eagle should be bronzed.

As this was on emedals site it most likely comes from the John Angolia Collection. Did you get the brocade as well?

It was my friend Garry who got the Brocade. You met him at the 16 SOS.

Thanks Kirby - he got a great and rare to find brocade for sure! Let me know when he starts to thin his collection - you know what I mean!

In my opinion it is the 3rd (and final) type buckle for RLB officers.

                    Wickie,

According to the "books" there were 4 RLB Officer buckles. Was there a discussion to discount one of them?
