HJ Belt & Buckle For Review Please

Hi everyone. I bought this HJ belt and buckle yesterday and since this is not my area of collecting thought i would get a few thoughts on it. The belt is very short/small as would have been for a Hitler Youth. Thanks in advance, BDM.

Very nice double marked very early nickel HJ. If I remember correctly Overhoff owned the design but this buckle was produced by Assmann.

I agree with Kirby...a nice early double-marked nickel HJ. These are a bit of an enigma. The roundel is characteristic of Overhoff and either Overhoff licensed the design to Assmann or perhaps Assmann supplied the pre-struck boxes to Overhoff. Also, it's a super long shot, but be sure to check if there is an "RZM 24" (Overhoff) stamping on the individual claws. This has been very rarely seen on these double-marked HJ buckles (one of which was formerly in my collection) and also on an NSKK.

Your prongs might be stamped RZM UE 71. There is a buckle identical to yours with those markings.

I looked the buckle over pretty good and didn't see any type of RZM markings on it.

Thanks to all so far, BDM
