Prestoff belt & square alum catches

Hi guys,
Can anyone say what years prestoff belts were available? Were they a private purchase item? When were the aluminum square catches as pictured replaced with steel hooks?
I have a line on a belt that matches these details and would like to make sure it's what I need to be "correct". Thanks in advance.

The press paper belts I have seen had the steel catches that slid over the end and have two small rivets. Search pressed paper belts and you will see examples.
