Berg & Nolte with unusual marking, Your Thoughts

Hi Gents,
Can I have your thoughts about this buckle please, marked BERG & NOLTE 1941, but with a swastika over M on the leather tab, I read somewhere on WAF the swastika over M was a Kreigsmarine variant stamp and not often encountered, the green colour of the buckle is a very pale green, is this Afrika/Tropical related ? Photos were taken in natural light
