M4/22 hj - brass?

this is a fine example, but did this maker use brass for any of its production? sure looks fellow on the worn areas - tho the catch seems steel. verdict if you please, gents! many thanks.

I think the buckle original. Stick a magnet to it. The whole buckle should be steel. Here is one I have.
