Heer Berg und Nolte "B & N 42" with leather tab (mint)

Hi, was looking for a nice condition mid-late war Heer steel buckle (with a maker mark and date) for a quite a while and then two came along almost at the same time! I picked this one (see link below) up last weekend at a UK militaria fair:-

and this one shown below almost immediately afterwards whilst researching the above one on the web shortly afterwards!

As I understand it, the relatively crude prongs and 'flattened' feet on the catch are characteristic of B & N (Ludenscheid) buckles, and the stamp appearing to be upside down relative to the buckle seems to be a common feature too! They can be found with either undyed ('brown'), or black tabs.

With the belt leather I had that was crying out for a buckle!

The 1942 date on the buckle matching the 1942 dated belt leather was the final straw. I had to have it!

I have to say, I don't think I've ever seen so many buckles on one website. I suspect a sizeable collection has been purchased!
