Nice Sachsen buckle

Hi all,


here is a nice 50mm Sachsen buckle which was for sale on a show in Germany last year.

The unit marking "134 R" is on the buckle, the tab and the belt!!!

A very tough buckle to find and even better w/the unit stamping and the really nicely marked tab. I have one w/out tab but marked to the 102 R.

Excellent buckle Christian

What I like also is this Imperial buckle (with others of course), showing constructional features, seen on the early SA's. In particular, a pin with flat ends, a seamless brass pin shroud and splayed end claws.

Nice set Christian, hard to find like this. Is this the one we saw together in Kassel? If so, glad you bought it, I could not buy it as I was running out of “time” ($$)…

More Sachsen buckles

Hopefully these have attached to this thread. Just some interesting Sachsen buckles. The 50mm Pioneer is a double unit marked buckle. bottom of buckle is marked to a Jager battalion 15.J.2 the top is marked to the same unit but lined out and stamped 12 P. The elongated two bcukles are sup[possedly Cavalry buckles but not really documented. Any thoughts would be welcome.

Help needed

OK guys, I really want to contribute to this forum but for the life of me I cannot seem to get my photos to go on to my thread. They get downloaded but I cannot get them to tranfer to my message. What am I doing wrong???Can anyone out there help?

Are you sure that the size of the images that you are attempting to post are not exceeding that proscribed on the Forum per se?

If anybody would like details of a really super, simple and free resizing software programme, then subject to Marc not objecting, let me know.
