The company made the first Luftwaffe also produced Bahnschutz, DAF/RLB and RAD.

            lw buckle

            Hello

Indeed, it's a Belgian made buckle.
Where it's made is still an open question.
It has nearly the same details as wartime made buckles made by the firm
            Reitz in Antwerp.
So a lot of collectors call it a Reitz buckle.
As stated however, it's an open question.

            Take care

                Hello,
finally I think we have the maker of the first Luftwaffe buckle (and DLV, RAD, ecc. similar buckles): Overhoff.
Infact M4/27 marked DAF buckles have same catch and feet .

For a quick test try to search "M4/27 DAF buckle" on the web

                Regards

Thanks for the information. I have a DAF M4/27. I will have to do a side by side and see if it has the same characteristics.

Here is a side by side and the catch is very close but the ears and prongs are different.

Yes, apart the silver finish, the catch is the same at my eyes.
What about prongs cut? Are similar?

                      Regards
