    Hi guys,

A steel buckle for your review. IMO a good one. Can anyone confirm this and maby identify a maker? And is this a late or early war example?

    Regards,

    Jac

If color on my screen is correct, I see blue finishing: if so, it's a late war one.

Looks like original Heer buckle produced by J C Maedicke, Berlin. Without leater tab its hard to tell the exact date of buckle production. For now its 1940 -1943.

It is hard or imposible to distiguish a Maedicke buckle from a Motz one without leather tab, this buckle probably missed his tab, (unpainted post sleeve) so it was made before 1943 and IMO is green not blue painted.
This blue buckle with painted post sleeve is from my collection

                    Hi Ivan,

Thanks for sharing. So the blue ones are late war (produced 44 and 45)?

The shown belt and buckle are offered to me for 100 euro(s). So, I gues this is a good deal (not overpriced).

                    Regards,

                    Jac

Yes blue variations are found from 1943 dated until war end.

I correct myself: now on my PC the colour is clearly green
                      I agree with Ivan

Yes the blue paint is very common in late war (1943) Heer buckles
The set price depends upon the belt condition, markings...
