    A Minty Zincer

Proud to show one of my newer acquisitions from an esteemed collector and forum member.

This is an Officer's OLC 36/43 in, IMO, flawless condition with all finish intact on both front and back of buckle.

    Enjoy the picks.

Very nice addition to your collection. You don't find the zinc ones in this condition very often.

At least I can say I made Dan happy! I kept this buckle for almost 20 years. Originally it came from Bill Shea, offered to me just after been purchased from a vet at a motel buy. This buckle was never offered to public then, after I acquired it, never been handled with bare hands (I always wore cotton gloved to prevent skin oil for a possible reaction with buckle finish). So, this buckle traded hands only 3 times since WWII (Vet --> Bill --> JP --> Dan). I never obtained another one in such condition (very close but not equally perfect) but whoever read my posts when, many years ago, I educated collectors how to discern original from fakes SS officers already saw this buckle without noticing I was using a 43...
BTW I was also so proud of this buckle that it is the one I am using as my avatar....

This is mine, a bit worse than yours, I bought it years ago in the infamous and deadly Beck Militaria I find it at good price, the pics are from web page, but I will do new pics
