    Another SS Buckle for Review

    Gents,

    Is this another cast fake? The SS runes are in a double ring and the last part of the mark looks like it could be 40. To me the mark looks like it was purposely worn away. Thanks for your opinions.

      To me it looks like an original buckle with removed markings. I think it was probably 155/40 (Assmann)

          removed or most probably hard worn and scraped off by the belt hook

            Could also be a 39 instead of a 40. Value would not be the same but at least it is original.
