    DJ Variant

A friend just sent me these photos. He just bought the standard size buckle but he has had the small one for a long time. I have never come across this style. Anyone else have one of these?

Looks private made for me. Someone probably took parts of original but maybe damaged DJ-buckles and put them on neutral buckles. Best regards, Thomas

The roundel on the small one looks more homemade. I will have to ask him how thick the roundel is on the big one. It doesn't look think enough to be cut from another DJ buckle. Thank for your input.

I think I have seen ordinary DJ-buckles from maker RZM 36. I don't think that this maker made this buckle. It just does not look professionally done. Would be interesting to hear how thick the roundel is.

Called my friend and he says the roundel is thin like a normal SA Roundel. I questioned the buckle, so he asked me to get some opinions. He say it is very well made so he took a chance. He has 1990 buckles in his collection so he is always looking for variations.

            Kirby,

I like the looks of this unique DJ buckle

roundel & box nickle plating & patina match very well imo.

A very interesting buckle. Could whittle away the thick, Thin is easier to solder, I also think that it is "designer".
