    Ha! Very true. I think I may be guilty of getting caught up in the minuscule detail of one buckle...

    It is always interesting though to view history through these individual items just to see what they might tell you about themselves and the bigger picture. I already have one new fact for the day!

        Thanks yellow12! It was bought from a dealer many many years ago in North London. It has been a little under appreciated since then. It may not be the nicest looking but it is an interesting piece.

          I like the eagle being a little ugly. It makes it more unique. Another buckle is called a dog's head. One eagle looks like a Pterodactyl.
