    Hi Ivan,
    Ric and I inspected the buckle, and according to both prongs look to be its original ones. See how rivet's head matches with the hole imperfections, and its conditions of oxidation is the same of the buckle.
    It would be really interesting to see the buckle before the modifications

                Just an hypothesis , but maybe they left the "big headed" original rivet in place? By the pict you post Ivan, it looks the previous rivet was very close to this one.

                  Yes also I think that the rivets are the original ones, the replaced prongs are from a HJ Assmann buckle

                        I do not know any unmarked variant of it. The most common variant is like your, marked only with O&C ges.gesch. The rarest (there is only one so far - mine) is also marked on the edge with RZM 155/36 SS. That one, and only that one (so far) is fitted with well known curved Assmann prongs. Your, we will never know since its original prongs were replaced. But probably they were the common straight ones.

                              Even if I found it was looking like a "wolf" head, I never used that name or brought that name from somewhere else. There was no need since that buckle was already attributed to Assmann, thanks to my very own buckle.
