    Heer transitional buckle?

May I know opinions about this buckle?

    Thank you!

I agree it was once a Prussian buckle but, IMO, that is where the story stops for me. I doubt this was performed in a factory, more like a someone's basement or garage. Yes, it was an attempt to make this into a Heer buckle but I sure wouldn't spend $495 on this experiment gone wrong. Also repainted and a prong missing.

I understand where John is coming from and he could be correct, but for me if you can't see the transition, ie. where the Heer Eagle is stamped over the crown with the reverse only showing the crown imprint then it won't be part of my collection.

    Just my $.02!

      Hallo Dan,
      Thanks for your reply.

My wonder too was the total lack ok detail of the eagle.
Let's think about the Turnaround-modyfied buckles.. eagle is very good looking with good detail.

I wonder if this buckle would have been accepted to the standards of that time..

Anyway I really have no knowledge about this buckle.

The buckle has been for sale for years. John has lots of great buckles but I wouldn't be interested in this one.
