    heer tropical buckles w/web tabs

    Gentlemen,
Just wanted to get some feedback on these 2 buckles. I bought a collection of items from the son of a guy who collected for 40 years and was a vet of WW2. Among other items, I bought these 2 buckles w/web tabs. I also bought a web belt with them. One is a tannish color, the other is Olive drab. The olive one is marked, the other not.

    Thanks and God Bless,

    Gerard

Gerard, those appear to be a very nice pair. Haven't seen those varaitions before but they look perfectly fine. What are the makers and dates?

Anything for me in that lot of stuff you received?

      Willi,
The od one is marked N&H 1941, the other is unmarked. Nothing to interest you in the lot I'm afraid. Only luft stuff was some flight pants and an enlisted fliegerbluse with officer insignia.

        Are these buckles available?

          Gerard,

If those buckles get too big for the house, I'll be happy to haul them away

          Respectfully Steve

Very nice buckles. I find it interesting that the tabs colors are reversed-i.e. the green tab on the tan buckle and the tan tab on the green buckle. Nothing wrong with that just interesting. The Wehrmact and Luft buckles came with a variety of webbed tab colors attached to matching and non-matching colored buckles. Green on green, green on blue; blue on blue, green on blue, and the two you have as well as a white tab on blue and green. I sure Marc can add to these colors as well.

              Bill.
