look at the scroll at the bottom at the reverse, where is the mirror image of the text? It is just flat, so maybe you need a better picture, also the crimps should be strong where the reverse fittings where held in and these appear to have been weak
Here are slightly better pics. The back does not have mirror image of eagle or motto, seems similar to a fake of a Dicke made buckle posted here: http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...icer+c.t.dicke
Was Dicke the only maker with this feature? Would appreciate any input on originality.
Thanks,
Fred
Sorry to did not reply earlier to your PM but I was busy with other things.
Same as when I posted the fake C.T.Dicke I am not going to comment any detail or anything else since I do no longer want to help fakers. I will just tell you what I believe this buckle is since I know perfectly the original C.T.Dicke. The first set of pictures was not the greatest but those latest are enough to say it is probably a genuine C.T.Dicke. "Probably" to be on the safest side since I do not know where fakers involved. But, so far, it is a genuine C.T.Dicke Be happy, a very rare little bird!
