Original belt, the buckle is an original R. Sieper buckle but the leather tab is Brüder Scneider marked

Agree with Ivan. All original .... but buckle and tab maker not match (recently added IMO).
If you want assemble a 1944 "late war" mannequin keep in mind that the buckle should be steel without tab and the belt with direct holes (without adjust tongue).

        Regards
        Brus

            Hello Bruce,

Thanks for the info. Very interesting.

My project is to have an ensemble (a torso) showing a Landser of the Heer during the Battle of Normandy. So, my belt and buckle are really not accurate for the 1944 period. Do you have for sale a belt and buckle which would be accurate with the period and a big tunic? If so, send me a PM.

            Richard

            Sizes of the tunic:

I don't think it matters if the belt is an earlier set as most troops would retain their kit while being issued new uniform items. It would generally only all match if the soldier is a new recruit being completely kitted out.
