              Hello,
I do think you are wrong. The pics are bad enough and you see blue spots when it is not.
I'm the first owner of this buckle and it was bought a long time ago from a seller when green luft buckles was not so researched. I owned it for a while (Ok, it means nothing but ...)
I could be wrong and I will take it back and will give a refund if you guys are right but before, I'd like that you take a look on my pics... IMO they are really better and your opinions could change.
              Thaks

What looks blue with Fj43's pics is in fact naked steel...

Did you try using (with care) acetone?

                          Re LW tropical buckle

Hi Pierre, thank's very much for your addictional pics.
In the hand, the green paint is more similar to my pics than Pierre's ones, but Pierre's pics are better.
I need help. Another opinions from buckle collectors?
I hope acetone isn't the only way ...
                          Thank's very much, kind regards,
                          Roby

Recent applied paint is removed quickly and easily with acetone.
                            Factory applied one absolutely not.

                              hello

I think this buckle is OK with its original green paint.

Aurich luft trop buckles are scarce compares to the Herman Harld "HA 42" ones.

Many others makers built little product of green luft buckles : Haarmann, Dr FR& co, Dransfeld, GB, N&H...

here are pics of twins I got in my archiver

                              best

                              Emmanuel
