    Reproduction Heer Belt Buckles

I purchased these two reproduction belt buckles. Is the black one "authentic" (i.e. were similar looking buckles used by the average Landser)? What about the field grey one? I'm looking to portray a Landser that enlisted in ~1942 or 1943. Would the field grey one be suitable? The aluminum ones were phased out after 1939, correct?

    Hello,
    summary of factory production:
    - we have tabbed alu buckles until 1939.
    - in 1940 started the production of steel tabbed buckles (until 1942).
    - from 1943 we have the steel buckles without tab ad usually painted in dark shade (the so called late-war buckles).

Keep in mind that all the buckle types were used until war end where they were available.

    Regards

So the black one is authentic "looking"? A late war?

      Thanks.

Some late war buckles produced during 1944/45 was made from pot(white) metal.

Late-war buckles are usually painted in dark blue or dark green, someone even in silver (OLC)... personally never seen 100% black buckle factory painted.

Alright. Would the green one be suitable for a 1942/1943 impression? As in, a Landser that enlisted in either of those years?
